About Us & Retro Race

We are two third year students who wanted to make the best game possible for our major project

The process of creation of Retro Race started from an idea, a concept where the players would be able to feel like true stunt drivers. The main goal of the game is for the player to race against a limitation of time each level to be able to unlock amazing cars to add to their collection.

WHAT DOES THE GAME CONTains

Main contents

Jump

The player will be facing areas in the levels where it is necessary to jump from one road to the other to continue the race.

Rewind

The player will be able to rewind in the game when necessary, to correct a mistake made on the level. The rewind is limited so the player will have to collect rewind collectibles placed all over each levels.

Rewind Collectibles

The rewind collectibles not only will help the player earn more rewind seconds but the amount of rewind seconds remaining at the end of the level will be subtracted to the time that the player took to complete the level.

Easter Egg

There is an Easter egg somewhere hidden in the game. It is up to the player to find it and unlock an amazing surprise.

Training / Tutorial

In the main menu a tutorial is available. It will detail and explain every details and mechanics that the player needs to know before starting the game.

Car Selection and Unlock

Through the player's progress in the game, they will be able to unlock cars and choose which car to use at the beginning of each level. However if the player doesn't finish the level on time they will not be able to unlock a new car.
