When we started creating Retro Race we wanted to follow a precise concept and aesthetic. The concept was quite simple, we wanted to simulate a stunt driving gaming experience for the players in a synth wave environment. Our inspirations came from Distance and OutDrive. We truly wanted to implement this style of gaming experience in our game. The game would allow the players to perform impressive tricks by jumping around the map's road and style their jumps with car rotations mid-air. This whole concept is what defines Retro Race and makes it an enjoyable game to play with great mechanics.
