For the game's mechanics the principle was to make a stunt driving game where the player could play Retro Race like a racing game but also would have the liberty to control the car however they want. By that we mean jumping from one road to the other, being able to rotate the car in the air for easier directions during a jump and rewind at any moment throughout the game. Our goal was to achieve all of the elements listed on the above and we succeeded. All of the mechanics were implemented in the game which truly reached our expectations. We found our ideas by simply playing car games analysing and judging what we would like in our game and what we could add to make it more different than a simple car game.
We put these mechanics in place by testing repeatedly for finding the good mechanics that would match to our idea. By testing but also getting feedback we had the chance to get more ideas and point of views on what could we make better. After getting more positive feedback on these mechanics we knew that we needed to keep going in this direction and perfect it until it works well enough to our liking.
